What is ionscin?
ionscin (at pinky.stream) is a free tool for handing text to a person or an AI through a single link. Paste content, choose one-time (deleted after it's read) or timed (readable by AI assistants for 7 days), and share the link. Each link's 18-character code is also its encryption key, so the server keeps only ciphertext.

    
How is my content protected?
Each share gets an 18-character code that is also its encryption key. The server stores only a hash of the code plus the ciphertext, so the stored data can't be decrypted on its own. One-time shares are wiped as soon as they're read.

    
Can ChatGPT or other AI read the link?
Yes. Choose “For AI” and the link opens straight to plain text that web-browsing AI assistants can read. For a one-time share, give the AI the direct link shown after you create it.

    
Do I need an account?
No. Sharing and receiving work without signing up. Shares expire automatically: one-time links after 24 hours, AI-readable links after 7 days.

    
How much can I share, and for how long?
Up to about 196,000 characters per share. One-time links expire after 24 hours if nobody opens them; AI-readable links stay readable for 7 days. After that the content is deleted automatically.
